University of Ghana Admits Over All Best Students In 2012 WASSCE
Two students from the University of Ghana were adjudged the overall best students in the 2012 West Africa Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations.
Ms. Yvette Yeboah-Kordieh, currently a Level 100 student of the University of Ghana Medical School (UGMS), took the first position; and Mr. Josbert Abaasa Ayambire, also a Level 100 student of UGMS, took the second position out of a total of 1,898,850 candidates! (One million, eight hundred and ninety eight thousand, eight hundred and fifty candidates) who took part in the 2012
The two students were honoured for their excellent performance at the 61st Council Meeting of the West Africa Examinations Council, in Banjul, The Gambia.
The West Africa Senior Secondary Certificate of Examinations (WASSCE) is held in four West African countries; Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, and The Gambia.
