Clark, Ogbemudia, Fashola, others bag UNIBEN award
BENIN—Ijaw leader, Chief Edwin Clark, former governor of the old Bendel State, Dr Samuel Ogbemudia and the governor of Lagos State, Mr Babatunde Fashola, were among Nigerians, who bagged the Distinguished University of Benin Personality Award, DUPA, in Benin City, Edo State, weekend.
Others who bagged the award are former Minister of State for Works, Engr. Chris Ogiemwonyi; Managing Director, Schlumberger Nigeria Limited, Engr.Andrew Olotu; Group Managing Director, Access Bank, Mr Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede; MTN and Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.
Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council of UNIBEN, Senator Effiong Bob, at the event, said the awardees had contributed immensely to the growth of the university.
The event also featured the N5billion Endowment and Development Fund Raising Dinner.
